Edward Rose Property Group (ERPG), an ambitious Your Move franchise operator, has completed its fourth independent lettings agency acquisition in twelve months, purchasing a well-established Southsea business from a prominent figure in Hampshire's property rental sector.
The acquisition spree reflects the momentum generated by LSL's strategic pivot to a franchise-based operating model in May 2023. ERPG, which concentrates its operations across England's South Coast and South West regions, has emerged as one of the brand's most aggressive expansion players, leveraging LSL's acquisition financing support to fuel rapid growth.

The transaction involves Flats in Southsea, a lettings operation founded by retiring industry veteran Alwin Oliver. The business brings a portfolio of 109 managed rental properties serving 100 landlords, including management of Oliver's personal property holdings. The company's website has been taken offline following the sale.
Oliver's influence in the Portsmouth rental market extends beyond his commercial operations. He continues to chair the Portsmouth and District Landlords Association, maintaining his position as a key voice in the city's private rental sector despite stepping back from day-to-day business operations.
The transition includes the retention of Oliver's two-person team, who will join Your Move's Southsea operation, ensuring continuity for existing clients as the business undergoes its brand transformation.
Landlords
"This acquisition strengthens our Southsea presence significantly, bringing over 100 landlords into our Your Move portfolio and expanding our team with experienced professionals," explains David Vertannes (main image), ERPG's owner.
"Alwin has earned his retirement after building an impressive business, and the transition has been seamless thanks to his professionalism throughout the process.
"Our Southsea team remains focused on delivering superior service to both landlords and tenants, particularly as the industry navigates the upcoming Renters' Rights Act implementation."

Kate Ashley-Ives, Franchise Director at LSL Estate Agency Franchising, notes: "Supporting David through his fourth acquisition in a single year has been rewarding.
"His track record demonstrates both strategic vision and operational excellence, qualities that resonate strongly with the landlords his team serves."
ERPG's acquisition strategy has previously secured Team 2 Property Management in Devon, Plymouth-based Barton Wykes, Whiteley's LetCo, and Harmony Property Rental in Torquay. The Southsea purchase brings the franchise holder's branch network to nine locations.
